So, I decided to do part two because I really enjoyed part 1. This time I tried to include all types of movies like movies for all ages, tv shows, documentaries, and so on. At the end of this blog, I have included a list of movies that are on my watch list, so if you don’t have any movies to watch you are more than welcome to take some movies from there (if you haven’t already seen them).
(SPOILER ALERT: there might be some spoilers mentioned in some of the tv shows or movies I am talking about, so skip the ones you have not seen but want to)
1. The Good Place: starring: Kristen Bell, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto, William Jackson Harper, and Ted Danson- Always be content with what you have and that your friends are very important.
Eleanor ends up in the good place where everything is fit for her but she realizes that there was a mistake and they got the wrong Eleanor. She takes the help of her “soulmate” Chidi, who was a professor of ethics, to teach her how to be good. Only to find out that they were actually in the bad place. They make friends with their neighbors and the four of them try to get into the good place.
This is possibly the briefest description ever but you have to watch the show to find out the details I deliberately left out
This is one of my favourite shows. It is totally binge-worthy and well made. The four main characters of this show stick together the entire time and if one of them could not get into the good place, they were all ready to go back to the bad place with them. This shows the support you require in your life and the importance of friendship. in the end, they reach the good place and realize that there are only so many things you can do, they did whatever they always wanted to and were content. They didn’t seek more and passed through the gate to achieve peace. Sometimes you have to be satisfied, stop seeking things to complete you.
“What matters isn’t if people are good or bad. What matters is, if they’re trying to be better today than they were yesterday. You asked me where my hope comes from? That’s my answer.” – Michael, The Good Place

2. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara: starring: Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin – stop being so uptight, there will always be school or work but sometimes you just got to live.
Three friends plan an annual trip where they travel to a place and each one of them chooses an activity. Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) is always tied up in his work. His friends convince him to put his work aside for some time and they all experience new things and some face their fears and they end up having the time of their life.
This is probably one of the best movies ever created. It just teaches you the importance of going and actually living. You can spend your whole life like Arjun or you can just put aside your work for some time and experience what the world has to offer. Your work will always be there but how many times can you go on spontaneous trips with your friends. Trust me, you end up learning a lot from those experiences and you discover many things you never even knew existed
Don’t confuse your work with your life. Your work isn’t your life. It’s just a part of it.

3. The World’s a Little Blurry: starring- Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell- if you're passionate about it, keep going for it, never stop chasing it.
Billie shares glimpses into her life and her childhood shows us behind the scenes of the albums she’s worked on and her concerts
This is a very touching documentary. I highly recommend it. Billie’s passion is music, writing it, and creating it. During this documentary, in some parts, she opened up about how she was not doing good mentally but one thing I noticed is that she used music as a way to cope with it. You need that one thing that you can fall back on, no matter how bad things get. That was music for Billie. So, all I’m saying is, find something that you love as much as Billie loves music. You can make it your whole world
“Every single person there is going through something good or bad, or horrible or amazing, you know?”- Billie Eilish

4. Legally Blonde: starring- Reece Witherspoon- unapologetically be yourself. Don’t let people tell you what you are and are not. You get to decide that
Elle wood’s boyfriend breaks up with her because she is not “smart enough” and he joins Harvard law school. Elle is determined to teach him a lesson so she applies and gets into Harvard law school and proves her worth
Just because of her outward appearance, Elle was deemed unintelligent. This is not right. People don’t have the right to tell you how smart you are, you get to determine that for yourself and just be yourself. Elle didn’t stop being herself or stop dressing the way she wanted to just because the students at Harvard thought she was dumb. She worked a little harder to prove them wrong and see how that worked out for her in the end!
“You must always have faith in people. And, most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself.”- Elle Woods

5. Coco: starring- Anthony Gonzalez, Gael García Bernal- family is the most important thing in your life
Miguel wants to become a musician but his family has banned music because of an incident that took place which shook the family. He now lives with coco. On the day of the dead, he accidentally damages a picture with coco and her mother and realizes that the picture was actually folded hiding his great grandfather holding a guitar. Miguel then finds the guitar takes it and when he strums, he becomes invisible but can see all the dead relatives who have come to visit on the day of the dead. He then ends up in the land of the dead and meets a lot of people there and it fuels his passion for music and realizes a shocking thing about his family. Later he reveals the truth to his family which shakes them.
The family will teach you so much and you go from place to place throughout your life, make different friends but your family will always remain. It also shows us the beautiful traditions passed down. We don’t have a lot of time left, soon we will go to college and then go out into the world so go spend some extra time with your family
“Seize your moment.” Ernesto de la Cruz

6. The Edge of Tomorrow: starring- Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt- life is not at all predictable, you never know what will happen next so just live in the moment and see things from a new perspective
After William cage has to participate in the war against aliens but when he comes in combat the alien's blood sprays all over him which causes his death but then he wakes up again in the same position before he went into combat and this continues repeatedly and uses it to find out what he is doing wrong and finds another sergeant who trains him in combat. They end up winning.
Even though William was reliving the same day again and again and he somewhat knew what was going to happen, he could not predict his outcome. Something would keep going wrong or he had to improve at something. The only way he could win was by trying new things and seeing things from a different angle because he had to figure out a way to defeat the aliens. He did what he saw fit at the moment which shows us how unpredictable the future is. Anything could have happened, every day he relived he could have beat the alien at any time. So, just live in the moment, don’t stress, and try planning out your life, I suggest start with something small like goals and work your way up from there
“There is no courage without fear.” – Master Sergeant Farell

7. Inside Out- Starring: Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Lewis Black- it is a powerful thing to feel, don’t neglect what you feel
We see inside the emotions- Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear, Anger of a little girl as she grows but then one day her entire world is shaken when she moves to a new place and everything seems foreign and the emotions try to get her through this change and Joy and Sadness accidentally get swept away into the deeper parts of her mind and rediscover a lot about her.
Sometimes we neglect our emotions, we tell ourselves that we don’t feel sad and try putting out this façade that we aren’t affected by something but, in reality, we were badly affected. Don’t do that, if something affects you speak up. Don’t push away your sadness in order to only be happy because trust me, you can’t be happy all the time. We have all these emotions, don’t neglect them. If you feel something, feel it. Inside out really gives a wonderful insight into what actually goes on in people’s minds. Sometimes change seems scary (in the context of the movie- moving to a new place) but keeps an open mind to it instead of thinking about everything you will miss out on, think about everything that is new and that you can try out.

8. Oceans 8- starring: Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter- do not underestimate anyone and everyone is not who they seem
Debbie Ocean is released from prison after serving her sentence. She then reunites with her partner in crime and assembles a team of women to steal a diamond necklace from the Met Gala. The movie is about how they create the plan and how it is carried out.
To the public eye, these ladies seemed like people who could do no harm or just regular people but everyone is not who they seem to be. Who knew they would turn out to masterminds who managed to pull off a heist by stealing the necklace from someone’s neck. It also shows us that we should not blindly trust anyone or even underestimate anyone because of their outward appearance. We also saw how much teamwork matters in this movie.
“You know… One of these days you’re going to have to let this go”- John Frazier

9. Fyre Festival: The Greatest Party that Never Happened- sometimes no matter how much you want something to work out, if it is not meant to be, it’s not meant to be
A documentary on how Billy McFarland wanted to create the greatest party but as the documentary progresses we see that the party is falling into shambles
As much as we want something to work out, we have to learn not to be over-ambitious. Always look at the bigger picture. If someone is giving you advice, take it and work with it. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t want something to work out for you. We have to also learn to look at reality. In the end, it will only work out if it is meant to be. Try keeping your achievements realistic and try not to get your hopes up too high. It’s amazing to have an idea but we have to work with it carefully and slowly. Remember more time you spend devoted to your idea, the better it will evolve. Good things cannot be rushed
The greatest party that never happened

10. 13 Going On 30: starring- Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer- always be true to yourself
Jenna was a girl who always wanted to be popular and a part of the group “six chicks” she always mistreated her friend Matt when he showed her nothing but kindness. All she wanted to do is grow up and when her wish came true. One day she wakes up and she’s 30! The movie is about how she fixes her mistakes when she realizes that she is not friends with matt and realizes that 30 is not all that great
Jenna would do anything to change herself just to fit into the six chicks. She kept on focusing on the people who didn’t like her instead of the people who actually cared about her. Later when she was 30 she stayed true to her roots. She had to fix the magazine that she worked in and took a very throwback approach to it. She became better at expressing herself. That’s exactly how we should be. We should always stay true to our roots and with time it only becomes easier. We should stop focusing on the people who don’t like us and focus on the people who do.
"Well, Jenna, I know I made a lot of mistakes, but I don't regret making any of them." -Beverly Rink
