The World of Fiction pt2

I really enjoyed writing the first part and analyzing characters from books and how different authors can create such different people with such different plots it’s so cool to see how. So I hope you enjoy

1) Mia Thermopolis- Book: The Princess Diaries Author: Meg Cabot

She was just an ordinary girl living her life when she found out she was to become a princess and then directly inherit the throne. It’s not every day you hear this type of stuff. She had to start from absolute scratch and work her way up the hierarchy in order to become what she is today. She teaches us that if you can work hard, you can achieve anything. It’s all about the mindset, have a positive mindset, and who even knows what you might be able to achieve?

2) Margo Roth Spiegelman- Book: Paper Towns Author: John Green

She is one of my favourite characters of all time. She was tired of living such a life and being such a person so she decided to get away and do what she wanted to not what anyone else wanted her to do. She taught us that life is too short to waste living in these paper towns, you have to get away and go do what you love provided your parents approve of it. Life’s an adventure, go explore don’t waste it being boring

3) Jonas- Book: The Giver Author: Lois Lowry

For the longest time, he could not even see colour, living his whole life in black and white. He was unable to appreciate the true beauty of this world, unable to appreciate the real beauty. So he teaches us that live your life in colour, this world has so much to offer you will miss out if you don’t put yourself out there. Don’t spend your life in black and white go out there and make it the most colourful life you have ever lived

4) Dennis- Book: The Boy in the Dress Author: David Walliams

He was the type of boy who liked wearing a dress and we as a society have to accept the fact that it is okay. It’s okay for a boy to wear a dress, to wear makeup to wear whatever he wants whenever he pleases. He teaches us that there’s no point trying to fit into society because you will waste your whole life trying to get accepted by people who don’t even accept themselves. Life is short so do what you want, you’ll get judged anyway.

5) Hazel Grace- Book: The Fault in our Stars Author: John Green

I loved her character so much. She had very little time to live but she decided not to sit around and complain about it, she decided to make the most of her life. she went on adventures to get answers to everything she wanted. There was this book that she loved and she always wanted to know what happened in the end so decided to visit the author to ask him but he turned out to be everything she hated. Sometimes people are not who they seem to be. She had this perfect image of who this author is but he turned out to be the exact opposite. So people change, they are not the image they put out there and that’s okay.

6) Rafe- Book: The Avalonia Chronicles Author: Farah Oomerbhoy

He was the type of person to never give up on what he believed in. he fell in love with Aurora and never left her side, no matter how many times she fell in the hands of the danger he was there for her, even if it meant risking his identity or even his life. if you love something, never give it up. Fight for what you believe in and never stop voicing your opinion.

7) Professor Snape- Book: Harry Potter Author: J.K Rowling

He was hated so much because everyone thought he was evil and he was working for the bad guys but ultimately he was trying to protect Harry because he loved his mom Lilly and he would do anything for her, to make sure that her son is okay but everyone steered clear of him and misjudged him. This shows us that never judge a book by its cover. Even the most evil people could be an angel in disguise so never judge a person without knowing their true intentions and remember always be kind because everyone is going through something every day even if they don’t look like it.

8) Albus Dumbledore- Book: Harry Potter Author: J.K Rowling

He was one of the wisest of his time and sometimes he knew what was best for someone when they didn’t know themselves. He teaches us that with age comes wisdom. Wisdom is not based on anything but experience so as you grow older you acquire more experience, you learn more, you grow more, and with all this comes wisdom.

9) Jenny- Book: Tall, Thin and Blonde Author: Dylan Sheldon

Most of you’ll not have heard of this book but I can guarantee you it is an excellent read. This book perfectly describes what most people go through in their teenage years. Jenny and her best friend Amy were best friends forever but suddenly Amy changed and now Jenny had no one to fall back on and her friend just dumped her like that. So remember the people who care dearly about you will stay with you forever. Sometimes if you lose someone know that there was nothing to hold on to in the first place.

10) Alice- Book: Alice in Wonderland Author: Lewis Carroll

We all know the story of Alice in Wonderland and how she discovered a whole new world and she had an adventure of a lifetime. This just shows that curiosity is something to always carry in your heart. If you don’t know something, go find the answers don’t just sit there. Never leave anything unanswered go in search of answers and you will find opportunities.
