This is kind of a follow-up to the success blog but this one is solely dedicated to the empowering of women. I know that ‘Woman’s Day' has already come and gone but regardless I felt it was necessary for one post to be dedicated to women
Here are some women who made it big on their own:
1. Rihanna: She started out her career singing and had become one of the most famous female singers in the world. Despite her success in the music industry, she's made the bulk of her fortune from Fenty Beauty, the makeup brand she co-owns with luxury goods group LVMH. She also co-owns Savage X Fenty lingerie line with investors including online fashion firm TechStyle Fashion Group. She has really made it big for herself and by herself

2. Oprah Winfrey: she had a hit talk show called, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” which ran for 25 years and she now made it into a business empire. She is a former news anchor. In 2011, she launched her own cable channel called, ‘OWN.’ She is a huge inspiration to women today!

3. Sheryl Sandberg: Sheryl Sandberg has served as the Chief Operating Officer at Facebook since 2008, helping to dramatically increase the social media firm's revenue. She has helped Facebook grow immensely and Mark has full confidence in her

4. Kathy fields: she is a dermatologist and has a business partner called Katie Rodan and they have two successful skincare brands called Proactiv Solutions and Rodan+ Fields. They have done great things in the field of skincare and their business continues to be successful

5. April Anthony: she founded Encompass Home Health and Hospice in 1998 which she sold later. Then she bought Liberty Health Services Before buying Liberty Health, she was an accountant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She then sold that as well and finally built her own company called Encompass. She also started enterprise software provider Homecare Homebase, bought by Hearst

6. Marissa Mayer: She was Google’s first female engineer and their 20th employee and she spent 13 years there. She then became the CEO of Yahoo in 2012 and then resigned. She then co-founded Lumi Labs. Later she pitched Palo Alto City Council on turning a former mortuary she owns into a club catering to working women and families.

7. Neerja Sethi: She co-founded Syntel with her husband in their apartment. Later a French IT company bought their company for which she got her share. She was born in London and raised in India. She is an inspiration everywhere.

8. Anastasia Soare: She launched her own beauty line. Before, she used to work in a beauty parlor. She moved on and started ‘Anastasia Beverly Hills.’ Her brand is now known worldwide. She has made her mark on the beauty industry

9. Donna Karan: she built most of her fortune by selling her brand to LVMH. She then started her own fashion house in 1985. She later stepped down as chief designer. Her main focus now is on her luxury lifestyle brand, Urban Zen, which combines fashion and philanthropy.

10. Danielle Steel: She is an author who has published more than 170 books. She has sold 800 million copies. Most of her life is like her romance novels. She has two foundations that raise money for child abuse prevention and mental illness

I hope you enjoyed this blog. I really loved educating myself about these powerful women and what they have achieved. I just want to leave this post here as a tribute to women. Remember we strive for equality. Always uplift your fellow friends, what’s the point of hating each other?
