We all as kids want to grow up. We live our entire childhood thinking about our future and what we will be in life. We dream of growing up and owning a house, having a job, having a beautiful and loving family but we forget what our childhood is all about, having fun. Instead of caring so much about our future, we should have fun in the present and enjoy these days as they will not last for long.
Growing up is so much more than just growing old. It has so much to it.
-You physically grow up, become more aware of your body.
- You mentally grow up. You become more mature and more aware of what you want and you identify with yourself better when you're older.
-As they say- ‘With age comes wisdom,’ this is because as you grow up, you experience more things so you become wiser and you will be able to tell the difference between right and wrong.
-There will come a time in your life when you are ready to go out into this world and make a life for yourself, it will be the time when you truly become your own person who is independent strong, and capable of doing so much.
Growing up can be scary because you don’t realize when it hits you. One day you are just chilling in life and suddenly the next day you dedicate the rest of your school years to college. You never really know when it all starts. To help you get through all this here is some advice I can offer you
1. You decide your own life
- This is really important to remember. You can’t let someone choose your life for you. You chose what you be and how you want to lead your life
- It’s always okay to take some advice but it all comes down to your decision about your life
2. Never give up
- This may sound cheesy but it is really essential
- Being lazy and procrastinating will get you nowhere
- Just think of it this way, you work hard all your life and give your best when times get tough, so when you retire you will live a comfortable life
- As opposed to when you do not put much effort and struggle to live comfortably. When you retire, you will find it tough and you will probably need someone to financially support you
3. Do what you love and love what you do
- It is really important to love what you are doing
- If you love what you do then every day you will be motivated to give your best
- Imagine getting your dream job, what a story to tell people
- Loving what you do is the best possible life you can have
4. Take your time
- You have to give everything time
- You can’t always succeed on your first try, you need to experience failure in order to succeed
- I feel like you experience failure in order to learn that sometimes things don’t work out and that’s okay
5. Never live with regrets
- The worst thing you can do is carry this weight on your chest throughout your life
- Put some thought into everything you do instead of doing something and regretting it later for the rest of your life
6. Break out of your comfort zone
- You can’t always have everything go your way
- You can’t always stick to what you know
- If you do not try, how can you learn? Explore yourself, you may find something you did not know
After all this, I conclude that the saying is true- we should live while we are young
