Getting Through this Pandemic

So much has taken place in less than a year, we thought we would be frolicking in the sun, vacationing in paradise during summer but clearly, the universe thought otherwise. Look at us now, getting too scared to leave our house, our universe has been infiltrated with such an awful virus. Well, one skill can come in handy during these troubled times and that is adjustment. We have to quarantine so might as well make the most of it.

Here are some tips to help you get through this pandemic-

· Stay Positive

I know this might sound hard because where is the positive element in this whole situation? Just think about when this whole thing is over, we can see our friends, our relatives who live far away and go anywhere we want without the fear of falling sick. Remember there can be even the tiniest side of positivity in a world filled with negativity

· Follow the rules

This is the most important, you might not feel the need to wear a mask when you are leaving the house but trust me just by wearing one mask, you can prevent hundreds of people from getting infected. Even by staying at home, you can save so many lives. Remember always stay six feet apart. I know you all must be annoyed with so many rules being imposed but without rules, the world is absolute chaos

· Spread awareness

The more people that know how exactly how to prevent this virus from spreading, the better. We just need to make everyone aware so more people can take precautions that prevent people from getting infected. This is the time where the world needs to come together.

· Keep yourself busy

You must be bored and stressed out thinking about everything that’s going on right now, so here are some things you can do to get through this pandemic

1. Set some goals

- Setting goals is very important so you do not just while away your time

- It helps you get a clear idea of want you want to do, it helps you keep organized

- If you know what you want to achieve, it helps motivate you, which prevents procrastination

2. Explore your interests

- You never know what your good at, maybe you even find something that you enjoy

- Try becoming better at the thing you like

3. Spend time with your loved ones

- When we used to go to physical school we never used to get much time to hang out with our family

- I say make the most of the time you have, talk to your parents, strengthen the relationship with your sibling

4. Focus on yourself

- This is very important, the stress you have because of school has become significantly less, use this time to work on yourself

- Use this time to become the best version of yourself, who knows you might never be this relaxed, you might never have such less work again?

In conclusion, these are very difficult times and the best thing you can do is just live as the days come. Use this time wisely, follow the rules. Remember our time will come, maybe not this year but very soon. We have to stay strong and power through. Stay safe and healthy!

Mahima you write so well. I want you next time to write about- finding yourself, so people don’t ridicule you. I love your writing, want to know your inputs.
